Some of our closest followers may know that we’ve been talking about EventAgenda for quite some time now. We started to ‘Hello world’ you guys somewhere in september of 2007! You can find it here, our first post (in Dutch).
Back then we thought that EventAgenda should be dedicated to music events only. This alone would be difficult enough to manage! In fact, the first reason we wanted to start building EventAgenda is to more easily update our Partyvibes.nl database with relevant dance events without having to add those events manually. The second reason is that we wanted to give existing partners and visitors of Partyvibes.nl the opportunity to find music events from other categories besides dance related stuff.

So, it’s the second of June and no public beta yet? That’s correct! We’re testing our application with a select few at this moment. We hope to open our public beta doors asap!
Ok, not this minute… but we decided on a launch date for the private beta:
1 juni 2010
Do you want to be the first to play around with your agenda’s and/or events at EventAgenda? Sign up for the private beta!
We’ll be contacting individuals on our beta list for alpha testing…
Sometimes it’s easier to make a list than explaining why our product is making your life better.
That’s why we give you a short list of what “EventAgenda” will be for you;
- A list of upcoming or archived events
- Everything with a date, time and location
- Free to be integrated within your website, blog or social profile
- With or without our logo
- Containing private and/or public events
- Your own and/or your favorite events
- Automatically, managed and/or manually filled with events
- Synced within your favorite mail / calendar client or device
- Mobile accessible
- Rss feeds / API (duh!)

New eventagenda beta page
We’ve got ourselves a brand new frontpage! Why you ask? Because of all the focus shifting and therefor upcoming design changes.
So is this, then, the new EventAgenda.com design?
In one word; no! This is only a temporary page to show you that thinks are moving and changing here at eventagenda. And what says change more then a new greyish mainpage…? For the fans we’ve put a small sketch of the new design on the page.
We will be working on this redesign and a new prototype for the next two or three weeks. Make sure you keep involved by signing up for our beta and stay connected by following us on twitter.
You can find this new page on www.eventagenda.com.
Some of you might know that we’re working on this project for quite some time now. A lot has changed since we started back in 2007;

- Twitter became HUGE
- Facebook is the fastest growing social network
- Google is still working on world domination
- 2012 seems not to be the end of time, but indeed a great popcorn concept
- The iPhones came, saw and conquered the (mobile) world
- For Michael Jackson it wasn’t it
But something didn’t change;
- EventAgenda is still in private alpha

Due to continued growth, EventAgenda is looking for a junior PHP developer who is eager to work with us on EventAgenda.com.
Next to being a fun girl / guy, you need to be highly interested and properly skilled in PHP, MySQL, xHTML, Javascript, AJAX en clean CSS. Some experience in Photoshop is not an requirement but it won´t hurt you either.
Unbiased as we are, we think working on EventAgenda might be a wonderful opportunity to join a forward-thinking, exciting company that is going to be huge
